This image was taken from near Monte de Stagno, a tiny community on the south side of the valley. From this vantage, one could see Pianezzo (on the far left), then Vellano, Carmena, Melirolo, and Melera. Carena is hidden by the cabin on the right. (I'll just need to get a better panorama some day soon!)

This image was taken from Vellano, towards Monte de Stagno below Camoghè, the highest peak in the region. Camoghè (2228m) is the peak to the right of Valmaggina, the higher valley that intersects Val Morobbia near the center of the panorama; to the left of Valmaggina is Poltrinone (1950m). Carmena and the church of Sant'Antonio are out of the frame to the left; the valley of the Ticino river is out of the frame to the right.
