For 2 or 3 pies
This recipe was found at the farm shortly after Grandma Hughes' funeral. No way to know just how good of a recipe it is at the moment. The original recipe was in Lelah Hughes' hand; the recipe for Cream Pie was at the top of the same small (about 3" x 6") page. There were no instructions, so I've had to guess. On the back of the page is what appears to be a letter, to Lelah's son, Wayne. Makes me wonder a bit about how these two recipes and the letter came to share the same piece of paper -- did Lelah plan to send these to Wayne?
The amounts on the left are the original amounts written with the same pen as the rest of the recipe. The amounts on the right are the amounts written in pencil in the margin; could be in a slightly different hand.
